The Manuscript is actually a book written in an unknown language.
It is thought to have been written between 1450 and 1520.

The book has been the object of intense study by many profesional and amateur cryptographers.
The manuscript is named after a book dealer, Wilfrid M. Voynich who found it in 1912.
The manuscript contains a rich text and almost every page of it has an illustration. The text, drawings and illustrations are categorized into six sections for convenience:
Herbal, Astronomical, Biological, Cosmological, Pharmaceutical and Recipes.

One of them wants Roger Bacon to be the author of this mysterious writing.
Some believe that is possible that John Dee may have written it. Who really knows.
